I flew home from Paris yesterday afternoon and let me tell you, the jet-lag is real. (If you caught my Snapchat last night, you know!)
The beautiful weather we’ve been having in Chi-town has made it a bit easier to force myself outside and back into the real world, though.
And you know, I don’t mind fall… Jacket season isn’t so bad — if you’ve got the right wardrobe arsenal.
Okay, up-front. Let’s talk about it: This faux-leather jacket is insane.
I immediately fell in love with the color, but I wasn’t sure if it’d work when I purchased it online. (Can you ever be, really?) When it arrived and I pulled it out of the bag, though, I literally gasped.
Ranked up there among the best feelings, no?
Guys, you’ll never guess where it’s from… Like, ever. Even after I tell you it’s less than $100.
It’s JC-freakin’-Penney, you guys.
Now, admittedly, I don’t shop JCP all that often; but they’ve got this new(ish) line called Belle + Sky that they asked me to check out, so I obliged. Belle + Sky is the brand’s own private label of “fast fashion” — somewhat similar to Zara and H&M, if you will.
And honestly, I was actually really impressed. The pieces are classic yet modern and — more importantly — super affordable.
I ordered a handful of pieces (since I wasn’t sure which I wanted to style for this post), and it was really hard to choose between this $25 blouse and the dress-and-jacket combo I decided on for today.
Perfect for a desk-to-drinks situation or post-work happy hour, right?
