Summer-to-Fall: Four Trends to Try

I’ve been putting in my fair share of style hunting/inspiration hoarding on Pinterest this week — partially due to Fashion Week sneaking around the corner (as if I needed an excuse). In doing so, I remembered a slideshow I created on celebrity-inspired style for that I haven’t yet shared with you.

With summer quickly fading into fall, it’s time to up the ante on your laid-back look. (I’m doing the same!) And who better to inspire than Hollywood’s A-list crowd?

Here’s four fashionable looks to refresh your summer style and carry it over into the new season:

celebrity, trends, hollywood, fashion, top, current

1. Angular Cuts: A leather cap and Zara culottes keep this look adventurous, yet on-point (ahem).  / 2. A daring crop top: A crop-top adds gives edge to a printed pencil skirt and pointed-toe pumps. / 3. Double denim: Chambray and boyfriend-style cutt-offs? Always a “do” in my book. / 4. An all-back ensemble: Black-on-black looks chic and sleek — especially when completing the look with a functional carry-all and patent ankle booties.

  • I’m a particular fan of the all-black look and the denim-on-denim — both great options where you’ll always have the pieces to create them and they can transition so easily!

  • I like the sporty-chicness of the angular cuts outfit! It’s debatable whether I’m cool enough to pull off a leather baseball cap, but hey, a girl can dream!

  • LOVEEE the all black – the crop top makes me so nervous though lol!

  • I’ve been doing both double denim and all black lately — and I soooo want to try the crop top thing but am a bit of a chicken as I’m not in love with my torso. I just need to suck it up and try some on! It’s probably going to be more flattering than I think it will.

  • Love these! I really love crop tops right now. And all black is always a good look.

I love the black sweater in the all black ensemble – where is this from???

    • Hi Nina! The sweater is by rag & bone, it’s called the Adirondack Pullover. 🙂

Awesome – thank you! By the way, I love your blog and style…just found it a few months ago and have been hooked since. Keep it up! 🙂
