This is the first weekend in a while I’ve spent at home in New York and without a set agenda (other than this), which is a welcome reprieve from a busy schedule.
Gone are the days in which we have to drag our butts out of bed at dawn to shoot outfits in single-digit temperatures during prime-time lighting. So with that, I say, Serial Snoozers, unite! (Or, put another way: Hell YEAH, girlfriends.)
Is there anything better than leaving the office when it’s actually light out? No.
… Except, maybe, the initial signs that warmer weather is on the way.
On weekends especially, it’s all about finding a fashionable balance between fit and comfort. And a faux-leather cap to hide my hat head.
We were fortunate enough to creep into the upper 40’s this weekend, so I took advantage and got a little risqué, allowing my ankles show… It’s been a looong winter. And it’s back to snow and sleet this week, so our time is limited.
Until then, you can find me jaywalking (oops!) around New York City in an array of lightweight layers, like these.
Lastly, a note about my flats. (Which you don’t often see me in, do you?) You may have heard, but my girl Grace from Stripes & Sequins designed them in collaboration with cult-favorite shoe designer Matt Bernson.
Truthfully, I’m so fiercely loyal to my Tieks that I was skeptical at first. I’m sold, though, after spending a weekend wandering around SoHo in them. They’re so comfortable. So much so that I may have to snag the mint color, too.
The pastel palette is perfection and the leather is really high-quality — I’m eying the gold-and-silver sequin pair (especially since they’re on sale). Cheers to you, Grace!
